Anchoring Hope in Daily Living
Ms. Pauline Addison Lee has been in the counselling field for more than 12 years and in the social service field in Singapore for more than 15 years. She is a Registered Counsellor and Clinical Member with the Singapore Association for Counselling (SAC).
Upon receiving her Master of Social Science (Professional Counselling), specializing in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, from the Swinburne University of Technology (Australia), Pauline further honed her clinical skills and competencies both in Singapore and overseas.
She is a Child-Centered Play Therapist and received her training in Child-Centered Play Therapy from Play Therapy Australia. Thereafter, Pauline continued to grow her clinical skills under the supervision of Dr. William (Bill) Nordling, an international leader in Play Therapy from the USA. She is also a certified Brief Affect Regulation Therapy (A.R.T.) Practitioner and received her training from Anca Ramsden of Best Mindset, Australia. She also received training in Introductory and Advanced Gestalt Therapy from GATLA (USA, Europe), under teachers such as Bob and Rita Resnicks. In addition, Pauline was trained in and awarded the Professional Certificate in Management of Family Violence: Intervention in Family Violence Cases from the National Council of Social Service, Singapore.
Pauline believes in tailoring counselling interventions and support to her clients and adopts a wholistic, developmental, attachment-based and trauma-informed approach to working with her clients and families. Over the span of more than 12 years, Pauline has worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families of varied cultural backgrounds and demographics on a broad range of concerns, and in a variety of settings ranging from Family Service Centre, academic institutions, corporate, community practice and private practice. Besides providing counselling, Pauline has also conducted talks and workshops to students, teachers, parents and employees on highly relevant and relatable areas such as parenting, building resilience, personal effectiveness and providing psychological support, amongst others.
At the heart of it, Pauline is passionate about facilitating healing, hope and connection, and having health and wholeness restored to each child, each client, each couple and each family she works with. She is passionate about seeking and discovering truths and all that truly matter, are credible and last for thriving in everyday living – in the hard places, the in-between places and the soft places.
